The women of this sorority house wanted to give their expansive living room and entry areas a “face lift.”

We freshened the entire area with new paint for the walls, ceiling and trim. We used neutral colors and classic furniture to create a sophisticated, timeless look. We added some playful pieces including a mirror in the shape of a kite, which is their symbol, and a crystal chandelier at the stair landing.

New carpet with a subtle diamond-shaped (kite) pattern made the space feel more seamless and cohesive, and helped brighten the area. Three separate seating areas were created in the living room to accommodate the members’ needs for simultaneous meetings and casual conversations. Additional seating was also achieved with strategic space planning in this large room.

Green Butterfly Design was responsible for paint selections, lighting, carpet, space planning, furniture and upholstery selections, mirrors and artwork.
