Above the Clouds

This dining room was created for a busy family with a love of outdoor activities and connection to nature, the driving inspirations. The space reflects the clients’ expressed desire to connect with friends over meals and meaningful conversation. The organic chandelier is a metaphor for cumulous clouds often spotted in Colorado skies. Mixed metals provide both warm and cool sparkle throughout: rose copper metal chairs contrasted with a stainless table base; a bronze relief sculpture of people threads “connection” into the space. Locally crafted, custom knotted rope window coverings symbolize the clients’ love of climbing, adding texture and filtering light into this sun-filled room. The focal abstract painting represents mystical wonders of nature. The blue deconstructed rug energetically anchors the space.

Overall, this modern, organic room reflects the clients’ love of nature and is an inviting space for sharing with friends.
